Vangiant Ltd

Established in 2004 we began buying and selling the Volkswagen Transporter T4. We would travel the UK & Ireland purchasing as many T4 panel vans as we could our hands. Over the next few years, we decided to enter the leisure industry and offer bespoke services such as exterior body styling, lowering and alloy wheels to our sales portfolio. Carpet lining and glass soon became part of the package and before we knew it, we were cutting roofs and fitting Pop-tops. We quickly went from strength to strength and would often struggle to keep up with demand.

Fast forward to 2010 we went from sole trader to a limited company and introduced our Onyx edition race van and transporter camper van package.

Over the next 10 years we focused purely on building our Onyx edition brand and developing our camper conversions on various types of commercial vehicles. A very important factor for us from the word go is that everything had to be done in house with nothing outsourced. That way we could keep a close eye on our quality and deliver the best product possible.

2020 we made the decision that we had now outgrown our small premises and moved to our current site and showroom located on Kingmoor park Carlisle.

We then decided to focus our conversions only on the Volkswagen Transporter, Crafter and Mercedes sprinter range. Doing this we felt we could offer a better & more efficient service on a smaller range of vehicles that we feel are most suitable. Attention to detail for us is paramount, we don't build to set designs or use ready-made kits and anything is possible. We have a fully equipped workshop where everything is CNC cut and hand built. Nothing is outsourced and everything is done onsite giving you peace of mind everything meets our high expectations.

We are now large enough to cope with demand but still small enough to care.
